At the time, I'd noticed how unnecessarily descriptive a lot of the naming conventions in art have been, both now and in the past. Take a look at the little gold plaque next to each painting the next time you're in a museum... unless it was just the places I was looking, a big chunk of their titles are blatantly obvious descriptions of what's going on. "Boy on Rock." "Boat in Ocean." "Reclining Nude." It was a convention I noticed everywhere, so I decided to create one of my own.
