Just before leaving bad town for college, I took a road trip to Cincinnati and the Paramount Studios amusement park contained therein. The Goob, John "white windbreaker" Rusin and I grabbed a hotel, some fresh air, and a good time. Nobody laid claim to the godless fart that squirted out on the ride down, but all was forgiven when the Goob produced a giant slingshot, a bag of water balloons, and an open hotel room window. I'll allow your imagination to take over from there. These were taken betwen June and August, 1997. As always, click on the thumbnails to reveal a brand new page, filled with a larger photo and descriptions of the events leading up to the snapshot. Sounds like a blast, doesn't it..
ON THE LEFT: Click the images in the left margin for some related links. Well... scratch that. Sometimes they're related, sometimes they're just stupid. First, a link to the scene of the crime. All the photos in this section were taken at Paramount's King's Island, which was the midwest's half-assed answer to DisneyLand and Universal. That place was like heaven when I was a kid. In the middle is a link to a site dedicated to Operation Ivy, probably one of my largest musical influences. They had a song called "Bad Town", which is where the title of this page came from. We tried to cover it when I was a member of TK421, but the drums and horns couldn't keep up. Bottoming the list out is Hot, by Squirrel Nut Zippers. Look closely up above and you'll see I'm wearing a shirt with their name plastered across the front. |
