Now & Then

Now & Then (Lithograph, 2001)
printmaking

I'm still really happy with the way this one ended up. Though it wasn't my original intention, this turned into a sort of "ying and yang" sketch about the end result of humanity's domination of the planet. I think the linework is beautiful here, particularly on the left side of the page, and that the implied half-face right in the center turned out nicely. It looks a little too much like Ben Grimm, but even that resemblance is a reach. Like the earlier "High School" print, this was a large-scale piece, measuring three foot by two foot.
