I try my hand at directing / acting. For a good six months, I was deeply interested in the idea of sneaking into drug / convenience stores with my photo equipment and snapping away despite the big signs at the entrances declaring such activities to be illegal. Call it my weak, repressed way of fighting the system.
For about as long as I can remember, I've been fascinated by package designs and commercial products. I have vivid memories of acting out full-blown commercials in front of a mirror with my sister when I was still in grade school. That may or may not have something to do with the art I see in basic, everyday product displays. I think the variety of different shapes, colors, sizes and alignments of the boxes and packages in the background of this shot are beautiful.
