My buddy Eric Valentine and I have been kicking around the idea of a comic book titled Punk and Funk for almost a full decade. Meant to be based loosely around the events of our own lives (significantly dumbed down and sensationalized, naturally), we got through a few early sketches and story ideas before the whole thing kind of quit moving altogether. This one came the closest to capturing the mood we were attempting to create for the whole project, with a decaying city in the backdrop and a set of "deer in the headlights" glares plastered across the main characters' faces.
