One of the few lasting memories of my many trips to King's Island has been the "Straightedge Line Jumper." In the always-monstrous line for the infamous ride known only as the Vortex, here stands this little sign warning us not to cut in line. And wouldn't you know it, somebody's made the jerk in the drawing into a full-fledged straightedge rude boy. This was during a time when I actually fancied myself something of a straight edger, but I eventually realized I wouldn't be able to hold myself to something like that for the rest of my life and bowed out of the scene.

Seems like most of these old photos took place at Paramount's King's Island. I guess that's because there wasn't any other amusement park remotely in the vicinity of good ol' buckwheat Indiana.
Hit the guy with the X'd out hands to check out Straightedge.com, which... I guess... is where straightedgers hang out.
Finally, the lead singer of Minor Threat (and later Fugazi), Ian MacKaye, literally wrote the book on the straightedge mindset. I've got some disagreements with his approach, but I still respect the hell out of him.
