Hands down, the best thing I've ever created. I was really coming to terms with my use of water, scratchings and gouche in regular printmaking here, and the end result is something I'm endlessly proud of. I dug so deep in some places that it actually creates an element of embossment, which means this print appears differently every time it's shown, depending on its position in relation to the room's lighting. This was accepted into the annual juried Minnetrista Art Exhibition in the winter of 2000, my second appearance in the show, though it was hidden away in a corner and didn't really catch anyone's attention. I'll display this proudly in my home until the day I die.
