I was still feeling my way around the medium at the time I created this. Since early in high school I've been drawing fish in bizarre, inappropriate roles and situations. Most of the time I'd have a cowboy riding on the back of a saddlebacked, visibly unhappy perch or salmon. Sometimes the fish would be floating through space, on the verge of imploding. Here he's wearing a bowler's hat and wandering door-to-door, selling items from a mysterious briefcase labeled, simply, "fish." Maybe he's selling his unhatched young to make a living, maybe not... I'll leave the final decision up to you.
